I'm Hillary Grant, a graphic designer based in Seattle.
Men’s Health Magazine is a popular monthly publication that boasts a readership with higher median income, education, home ownership and employment rates than its competitors. The brand refresh I created reflects the cool confidence and sophistication of the target audience, and features an elegant masthead created with thin, condensed type reminiscent of the trim style in today’s men’s fashion.
The table of contents and sample spreads I have provided reinforce the new look, by using simple, clean typography and tall graphics which tell stories with a casual grace, rather than yell them, as other more extreme men’s magazines tend to do.
